Nile River Boats Painting Wallpaper
This Nile river boats painting is David Roberts’ “General View of Esouan and the Island of Elephantine,” a hand-tinted lithograph published in 1848 as part of his landmark Egypt & Nubia series. Roberts sketched the scene on location in 1838 during an eleven-month tour of Egypt and the Holy Land, then worked with lithographer Louis Haghe to bring it to print a decade later.
