Lioness Stalking Wallpaper

Holly Rothbard — Fri, 10 Apr 2015 04:00:00 +0000

Lioness Stalking Wallpaper pictures a female lion.

Lions live in prides. A pride may contain as many as twenty lionesses. The female hunts for food while the male stays in the pride and cares for the cubs. The lioness is a better hunter than the male. She is more agile and faster. Lionesses hunt together. They surround their prey and stalk them before pouncing and killing them by strangulation!

Lazy Bengal Tiger Wallpaper

Holly Rothbard — Sun, 15 Feb 2015 05:00:00 +0000

This lazy Bengal tiger wallpaper catches a several-hundred-pound apex predator at its most disarmed — flopped on its back, paw stretched toward the lens like the world owes it a high-five. This tiger photo is stock photography; the original photographer is unattributed. WWF notes tigers are mostly solitary and can eat over 80 pounds of meat in one sitting — so “lazy” here is doing a lot of heavy lifting for an animal that’s basically an off-duty forklift.

Lazy Bengal Tiger Wallpaper — Fully Off Duty

This tiger may look innocent, but on your screen it’ll jump right off the desktop. For the same species with its guard back up, check the Lone Tiger Painting Wallpaper. Find more powerful backgrounds in Big Cats collection.

Tiger Motherliness Wallpaper

Holly Rothbard — Wed, 14 Jan 2015 05:00:00 +0000

Tiger Motherliness Wallpaper features a tiger caring for her cub. Mother tigers are one of the most loving and caring animals. The father tiger is no help at all in raising the cubs. In fact he may even try to kill the cubs! When a cub wants attention from its mom, it meows and squeaks. Mom responds by licking the cub vigorously which aids in the elimination of waste from the cub’s bowel and bladder. Tiger mothers care and teach their cubs until they are ready to be on their own at two years of age.

White Lions Wallpaper

Holly Rothbard — Thu, 02 Oct 2014 04:00:00 +0000

White Lions Wallpaper shows a mother licking one of her cubs. Lions use expressive movements and gestures to communicate. Nuzzling, rubbing heads, and licking shows a common greeting. White lions are a magnificent rare breed found in the Timbavati region of South Africa. Their beautiful white coat is due to a recessive gene. Most of the white lion population live in zoos because it was believed their color did not provide camouflage for hunting. Africans believed the white lion was a messenger of God. They believed if the animal was disrespected, it would result in the wrath of God!
